Winter Warmer

By Clare Coxon, 25 October 2010 – 0 comment

Wow! What a cold start to the half-term week. Luckily we took delivery of our local wood for the wood chip boiler last week. We're really very proud of our boiler and it's certainly made a difference to the level of comfort in our 17th century barn for staff and visitors alike.

Conscious as we are of our legacy to future generations here at Low Sizergh, our heating system had to be sensitive to the local and wider environment. The fuel source is completely renewable - and local - and so far the efficiency is impressive.

Come along and warm your toes.

Growing Well's Crop Share scheme is up and running for the season. Tell too many people about it and perhaps there won't be enough organic broad beans, spinach, courgettes, salad leaves, herbs and new potatoes to go round. Best keep it quiet then.
