The nooks and crannies of the 18th century Westmorland stone barn reveal surprises at every turn. The shelves are bursting with options for every meal; choose for everyday, for special occasions, for experimenting and sharing.

Growing Well, a social enterprise based on the farm, grows a huge variety of organic vegetables that are delivered to the shop by wheelbarrow - at matter of farm yards rather than food miles! Learn more at www.growingwell.co.uk

We won the national 2005 Retail Cheese Awards and are justly proud of the 60 or so cheeses in the cheese counter, all made by artisan producers and small dairies throughout the UK.

The meat, poultry and game is from nearby farms and estates, with jams and chutneys made from Cumbrian hedgerow fruits.

There are pickles and preserves, puddings and pies, all with that special taste that comes from being made by people who care about the good food they make.
