Chef/Kitchen Manager

We require a full time Chef/Kitchen Manager to oversee the running of our kitchen, which serves both the tea room and farm shop.

Main responsibilities:
Cook with, organise, lead and motivate the kitchen team
Develop new menu ideas using seasonal and farm produce
Expand the own-produced ranges in the tearoom and shop
Ensure gross profit targets and budgets are met
Work with suppliers to ensure the best ingredients and prices are obtained
Help us further develop the business

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience in training and managing staff in a catering environment
High personal and professional standards
Excellent communication skills
NVQ3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent
A passion for local food 

Low Sizergh Barn offers pay of £19000 to £20000 (dependent on experience) for a 42 hour week, a rural but easy to access location, set working days, no split shifts and an excellent working environment.
