Smoked Wensleydale
- Produced at Wensleydale Creamery, Hawes, North Yorkshire. It was first crafted in the 12th century by a group of Cistercian monk settlers.
- Yorkshire Wensleydale now has PGI status, meaning that the cheese has to be produced in a designated geographical area.
- Smoked Wensleydale is naturally smoked using oak chips, producing a cheese with a subtle, smoked flavour, and which retains the crumbly characteristics of Yorkshire Wensleydale.
