raw milk

Raw milk

Organic raw milk from our family’s 130 cross-bred Holstein, Scandinavian Red, and Montbéliarde cows is sold from the vending machine in front of the farm shop.

This hard-to-find product is unprocessed – not skimmed, homogenised, or filtered. Why not watch milking time from the gallery window in the café, meet the cows over the parlour half doors, or try their fresh milk from the vending machine just a few yards away?

Raw milk facts

What is the difference between this and regular whole milk?

The raw milk in the vending machine comes straight from our cows. Milk bought in shops is bottled at dairies that handle milk from a great many farms at any one time. Our organic raw milk is unpasteurised (not heat treated), and not homogenised (when the fat globules are processed to standardise milk without cream). The processing alters the way the body digests the milk.

Raw milk is an unprocessed natural food and tastes fantastic.
