Sheep Shearing June

There’s a lot of back and forth at clipping as the generations spar over everything from the state of the shearer’s shoes to the apparent sharpness of his or her clippers. It seems clippers today are, predictably, not as good as the tools on offer in years gone by. And some shearers are held to account for picking easier sheep for the cameras, ‘you went for that bare-bellied mule because you didn’t fancy that white face. You’ll have to do it sometime. Not when the camera’s on though.’
