Countrystride podcast

We welcomed the Countrystride podcast team, along with photographer and Forty Farms creator Amy Bateman, to Low Sizergh for a tour of our fields, hedgerows and dairy. Together, we explored the daily realities and future hopes of farming in Cumbria, from the role of organic dairy herds and species-rich meadows to the ways farmers are making space for nature alongside food production.

As part of the conversation, we shared our thoughts on the deep connection between food and community, reflected on the challenges and opportunities facing farmers in a changing world, and considered the advice we’d give to the new Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
