Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies are a variation on oatmeal raisin cookies. The Freddie’s Farm Apple Fruit Shapes give them a really gorgeous flavour.

Ingredients

170g butter

280g soft brown sugar

1 egg

85ml milk

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

300g porridge oats

130g plain flour

1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

1/2tsp salt

1/4 tsp cinnamon

A handful of Freddie’s Farm Apple Shapes

Method

Preheat your oven to 190°C and line two baking sheets with parchment. Combine the butter, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a bowl and whisk with an electric whisk until well blended. Then add the oats, flour, bicarbonate of soda, salt, and cinnamon until just combined. Stir in the Freddie’s Farm shapes. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the parchment 5cm apart and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned.
